Reproduction WW2 RAF & USAAF Emergency or ditching whistle in very aged condition. This whistle has been made to look 70+ years old. It is the perfect item if you want to display it with your original Air Force kit, such as Mae West, Tunic, A2 Flight Jacket etc. The nickel plating has completely gone and the aged brass is revealed fully.
These were originally used in WWII and made by the original wartime RAF supplier. It is made with the A.M. (Air Ministry), markings on both sides of the whistle. It also has the Kings Crown stamp, and RAF Stores number 23/230 on both sides as well as 'The Acme Thunderer Made in England' stamped on the top.
Make no mistake, these are the real deal, identical to the escape whistles the RAF and USAAF pilots and aircrew attached to their flight jackets during WW2.
